Who we are

Praatjie ("Praatjie", "we", "us") runs this website, operated from South Africa. We're pre-launch: there's no paid product yet, just free trial lessons and a founding-families waitlist. If you have questions about these terms, email legal@praatjie.com.

What this site offers right now

Right now, this site offers two things: free trial lessons you can play without signing up, and a sign-up form to join the founding-families waitlist ahead of classes opening in early 2027. Nothing on this site commits you to buying anything, and joining the waitlist doesn't guarantee a place, a price, or a start date.

Using the trial lessons

The trial lessons are free to play and don't require an account. They're meant for personal, non-commercial use — please don't scrape, copy, or republish the lesson content, or try to interfere with how the site runs.

These lessons are intended to be used by, or with the supervision of, a parent or guardian when the player is a child. They're a preview of the kind of thing we're building, not the full product.

Joining the waitlist

When you sign up, please give accurate information — it's how we'll plan class times and get in touch. The "founding family" perks we mention (a free trial class, first pick of times, a say in what we build) are offered in good faith, but timelines and details may change as we build towards launch.

Intellectual property

The Praatjie name, logo, and the content on this site (including the trial lessons) belong to Praatjie. Please don't copy or reuse them without asking us first.

No warranty

We're building this as we go. The site, its content, and its features are provided "as is", and may change, break, or be discontinued without notice while we're pre-launch. We don't guarantee the site will always be available or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Praatjie isn't liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site. Nothing here limits any liability that can't legally be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product develops. We'll update the date at the top when we do.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
